1. Bonnie Wenk Park

One of the largest and most visited parks in McKinney. This 216-acre park has an outdoor fitness court, a dog park, hike and bike trails, a fishing pond, and an amphitheater.

The park has a lot of wooded areas that are great for a stroll or a leisure walk. They also have a playground for young kids from 5-12, which has a small ropes course and two short zip lines. Their dog park has 3-fenced areas for the midget dogs, the large dogs, and a splash pad for dogs who likes water.

2. Erwin Park Hike & Trail

It has ups and downs, bumpy tree roots, and a couple of ramps for bicyclists that want to catch some air. It's 212 acres of land with three picnic pavilion, one with electricity, two restroom facilities, and ten designated campfire sites.

3. Al Ruschhaupt Park

This park is good for little kids. They have toddler-friendly equipment, a large picnic shelter, lacrosse, cricket, football, and a boundless playground that is wheelchair accessible. Even if your kids are no longer toddlers, the park still offers a great deal for them. Their soccer complex is five lit regulation-size soccer fields, a hike, and a bike trail for the adults. The park's large leafy trees give shade from the sunny weather of Texas.
